Mission Statement
The Male Success Alliance (MSA) mission is to improve access, retention and graduation rates of young men of color at CSUDH. MSA offers academic support, personal and professional development and mentoring. Through creating a culture of brotherhood, integrity and perseverance MSA positively impacts the lives of the young men.
Goals
- Academic Excellence: We aim to effectively guide, connect, and support students with counseling resources to help student make informed decisions in their undergraduate journey and thrive academically.
- Career Exploration: We facilitate and encourage skill development and career exploration to prepare students proactively for their careers after college.
- Pillar in the Community: We collaborate with students, campus, and external partners to generate positive community impact
- Identity Development: We encourage identity exploration and holistic development through cultural affirmation and “brave space” communities that allow students to reflect and navigate the intersectionality of the multiple identities they hold.
